[REVIEW] Casmara Antioxidant Algae Peel-Off Mask

sheet mask may sounds very common among us - but for peel-off mask, have you
ever tried before? To be honest, I never tried using peel-off mask before so
when I got chance to try this Spanish luxury skincare brand, Casmara,
to try out their Algae Peel-Off Mask, I am just too curious because I have read
some of the good reviews about this product plus one of my friend who has tried
this peel-off mask also said that this mask is really good even on the first
try. That’s why few days ago, with the help of my beloved sister, I tried this
mask for myself and now it’s time for me to share with you my experience trying
out this product, I believe you will not regret reading this until the end, so
let’s get started !
What
it is :
Casmara Antioxidant Algae Peel-Off Mask helps
protect the skin from external agents
that suits for any skin type. Antioxidant Peel-Off Mask has balancing and
calming effects obtained from seaweed extract, goji berries and quinoa seeds. Formulated
with goji berries, betaine beet, and honey, the balancing ampoule will provide
the skin with protecting nutrients and regenerators while the Antioxidant Peel-Off
Mask will revitalize skin and strengthen the barrier effect of the skin. This
mask is specially recommended for young skin, ideal for preventing the
appearance of signs of aging on skin.
There are 4 variants of masks : Purifying ( green
), Antioxidant ( red ), Hydra ( blue ), and Luxury ( gold ).
Contains
of :
Balancing
Ampoule 4ml ( Balancing Cream ) that provides skin with protecting
nutrients and regenerators that helps cell regeneration and prevents sign of
aging.
Antioxidant
Algae Peel-Off Mask ( consists
of 1 pack of powder and 1 pack of gel ) which formulated with goji berries,
quinoa seeds, and seaweed that provides unique revitalizing benefits for skin.
After applying, this mask will give cooling effect that skin toner usually
does, reduces dark circles, and helps the oval formation.
How to use
:
Apply the balancing ampoule all over the face,
keep a small portion to apply as a skin sealer after having peeled off the
mask. Then, empty the entire contents of pack 1 ( powder ) and pack 2 ( gel ) into
the lid of the mask packaging, use the spatula to mix them, apply all over the
face before 40 seconds. Wait and relax for 15 minutes then peel off the mask.

STEP 3 : Mix the powder and gel with spatula

PACKAGING :
Long, tube packaging consists of 4 ml
balancing ampoule, 1 pack of powder mask, 1 pack of gel mask, long spatula,
along with the instructions paper. At the side of the tube we can actually scan
the QR code to watch the video of the instructions as well. This tube comes
with no seal.
TEXTURE
:
The mixture of the powder and gel
makes the texture looks heavy and lumpy with some goji seeds. It has no
specific scent.
RESULT
:
At first, I found it quite hard to
stir the mixture with the spatula because it’s quite heavy, lumpy, and it gets
dry very easily. Lucky I was informed before that the mask should be applied on
the face before 40 seconds after mixing together. As you can see from the
picture above, I applied the balancing ampoule first all around my face. It’s
very soft, calming, and it absorbs pretty fast. After that, I applied the mask
starts from forehead-cheeks-chin, then with the help of my sister, she applied
the mask all around my face, including eyes and mouth as well. I can really
feel the lumpy texture of the mask but somehow it feels very soothing and
cooling during the treatment, I feel like I was using mask in the spa though !
I used this mask for around 15 minutes which I follow exactly from the
instruction and after that I slowly peel it off. It was super easy to peel
like, seriously ! The mask doesn’t feel sticky or cracky when I peel it off.
After using this mask, I can really feel that my face becomes much softer,
moisturized, calm, and somehow brighter right after I finished the step with
the balancing ampoule to lock the moisture. I was super amazed especially on
how soft my skin even until the morning after ( fyi, I used this mask before
bed ) ! It feels like I don’t need to apply any skincare anymore to start my
day !

- Doesn’t hurt face at all, even safe for eyes
and mouth as well
- Face becomes super soft, moisturized, and
brighter
CONS
:
- Fast drying
- Quite expensive ( about IDR 295.000 or around
$20 per tube, only for one time use )
Despite the expensive price of one
time use mask, this Casmara Antioxidant Algae Peel-Off Mask is seriously good
for those whose skin needs help in instant because we can actually see the
effect right after using the mask and it’s super calming like what it claims.
Although I am not sure I can wear this mask regularly, but I am pretty sure I
am going to try this mask again but in other variant. It works like magic,
though!
