I like to play with hair color since I started blogging few years ago and already got my hair dyed several times; from light brown to ginger red to blonde. However, I rarely dyed my own hair at home because I always afraid that the result might not be as good as when I did it at hair salon. Last time when I dyed my hair at home, the result was not really satisfying. I tried to color my hair from ginger red to black – and the color starts to wear off on some parts of hair several weeks after coloring. Thus, I decided to color my hair again since that but never really have courage to do that again because of my past experience and worry that it will damage my hair. Lucky me, Beautynesia sent me a package of this new Garnier Color Naturals Ultra Color consists of 5 beautiful colors which makes me finally have determination to color my hair again and this time I choose 7.3 Golden Brown as a start. What it is :

Garnier Color Naturals is the newest innovation of hair color from Garnier which contains of 3 natural oils; almond oil, avocado oil, and olive oil that will maintain hair from damage. It claims that the color will still look stand out and bold on dark hair.

Consists of 5 colors :

STEPS 1 : PREPARE THE COLORING GEL & DEVELOPER CREAM

Before dyeing your hair, make sure that you have done alergy test 48 hours right before using the product. You have to take note to not washed your hair a day or two days before and make sure that your hair is dry ( because natural hair oils will make the color blends easier ). Then, prepare the hair color that you want, unpack the plastic cover and prepare the coloring gel and developer cream. One pack of this product only fit for people with short hair so since my hair is medium long, I use 2 packs.

STEPS 2 : PREPARE THE MIXING BOWL, HAIR COMB, HAIR BRUSH, MIX THE COLORING GEL AND DEVELOPER CREAM

Make sure that the equipments are not made from steel ( preferably plastic ). Pour the coloring gel into the mixing bowl then add developer cream as well with ratio 1:1, mix together with hair brush. At first the color looks just white, then after several minutes, the color ( Golden Brown ) turns to slightly brown/beige.

STEPS 3 : PREPARE HAND GLOVES, STARTS APPLYING THE MIXTURE, LEAVE IT FOR 30 MINUTES

Don’t forget to wear hand gloves before applying the cream. Using hair comb, break your hair in section to make it easier to apply with hair brush, then leave it for 30 minutes.

STEPS 4 : RINSE HAIR WITH LUKEWARM WATER

After 30 minutes, rinse your hair with lukewarm water, then continue with shampoo and conditioner for smoother hair.

STEPS 5 : STYLE YOUR HAIR !

It’s the most fun part of dyeing hair because hair will look different, especially with new color !

PACKAGING :

Sachet form, compact, and safely sealed. From design wise, it’s just basic, all information are attached on the front and back side of the plastic. One pack consists of one coloring gel and one developer cream, plus instruction paper.

TEXTURE :

Thick gel texture with decent, acceptable scent.

REVIEW :

Just like what you can see from picture above, my hair was a total mess. Yes, total mess because of the color already faded so much from black into lighter brown ( fyi, my born natural hair color is light brown ). While after coloring with Garnier Color Naturals Ultra Color – Golden Brown, my hair becomes lighter yet still look natural and more evenly although still has some black color on the bottom part – probably because I used only 2 sachets for my medium long hair and I chose brown color instead of bold color like red or plum so the difference is not that much. However, what I like from this product is somehow when I rinsed my hair, it doesn’t fall-off that much and it makes my hair smoother and softer.

I do recommend this product for those who likes to try new color in smartest way. Besides it gives smooth result to hair and doesn’t make hair fall so much, it’s also affordable and easy to find anywhere like minimarket, supermarket, Garnier Official E-commerce store HERE . Fyi, Garnier Color Naturals Ultra Color also comes in box/kit size so it would be more convenient for us who have long hair because it contains more product, including conditioner and hand gloves as well !
