[REVIEW] How To Repair Skin Barrier With Scarlett Body Serum and Body Lotion - Loving

You probably already noticed that I often mention Scarlett Whitening, not only face care but also body care. I still remember back in 2020, when I first tried Scarlett’s body care products and I immediately fell in love with them (for your information, I wasn’t really into body lotion, body cream, or body serum because they always leave sticky, greasy feeling in my preference) but ever since I moved on to Scarlett’s products, I can’t live without them!

Hence, once I knew that Scarlett just released another new body care products, I was so excited and can’t wait to try them soon - especially this new arrival, LOVING, has new specialties that can’t be found in other series. At first, I thought it’s similar to the JOLLY series because of the packaging, but apparently it’s not! Curious what makes it different? Let’s get to know more about this variant!

What it is:

Scarlett’s body care series, LOVING, contains hero ingredients that help to repair skin barrier, maintain skin’s moisture, and even out skin tone:

7x Ceramide : Moisturizes and strengthens the skin barrier and protects the skin from external exposure such as weather and pollution.
Glutathione : The most powerful antioxidant to brighten and moisturize the skin.
Titanium Dioxide : Protects skin from the dangers of UVA & UVB rays.
5 Phyto Oil : Scarlett's secret formula for brightening.
Shea Butter : Maximize skin’s moisture.
Niacinamide : To improve uneven skin tone, diminish dull skin.
Vitamin E / Tocopherol : Anti inflammatory agent, protects skin from UV exposure.

What makes it special is because of the 7x Ceramide ingredient that focuses on repairing skin barrier, plus it contains active ingredients that are safe for sensitive skin. 1. BODY SERUM - LOVING

What it is:

Scarlett’s Serum Body Serum - Loving helps to brighten and even out skin tone 3 times with non-sticky ingredients. Besides 7x Ceramide, Glutathione, Niacinamide, Shea Butter and Vitamin E, it also contains Sodium Hyaluronate (to maintain skin moisture, disguise wrinkles and fine lines) and Glycolic Acid (to remove dead skin cells and brighten skin).

How to use:

Dispense an appropriate amount of the body serum onto your fingertips or palm. Remember that a little goes a long way - start with a small amount and add more if necessary. Gently massage the serum into your skin using upward circular motions until it is fully absorbed. For best results, apply the body serum immediately after showering or bathing while your skin is still slightly damp. This will help lock in moisture and allow the product to penetrate more effectively.

Packaging:

Tall yet thin yet sturdy plastic bottle packaging, securely sealed with acrylic closure. The product is sealed with plastic wrap as well.

Texture:

Light creamy, with a slight watery texture with pleasant, feminine scent of rose and berries.

Review:

I like to use this body serum after a shower or before sleep. It gives extra moisture as it penetrates deeply and quickly into skin, not leaving a sticky feeling, plus I really admire the scent. Not just pleasant, it also has the hint of elegance and calming, it stays up to 3 hours which is not bad. My skin feels super soft, smooth, and hydrated. Scarlett’s body serum is definitely my favorite!

2. BODY LOTION - LOVING

What it is:

Scarlett’s Body Lotion - Loving helps to brighten skin since the first time use because of the Glutathione ingredient. Besides 7x Ceramide, Glutathione, Niacinamide, Shea Butter, and Vitamin E, it also contains Aloe Vera that helps to maintain skin elasticity, disguise fine lines, maintain skin’s moisture, and protect skin from side effects of UV rays.

How to use:

Before applying the lotion, it is essential to cleanse skin thoroughly. This helps to remove any dirt or impurities that may be present on the surface of our skin. Next, take a small amount of body lotion onto palms and gently massage it into skin using upward circular motions. Pay extra attention to areas that tend to be drier such as elbows, knees, and heels. If you use it with body serum, so it has to start with the body serum then continue with body lotion.

Packaging:

Light yet sturdy plastic bottle packaging, securely sealed with plastic lock on the neck of the pump. The product is sealed with plastic wrap as well.

Texture:

Creamy, thick texture with pleasant, feminine scent of rose and berries.

Review:

Obviously it has a thicker texture than body serum. I sometimes use it alone after a shower or together with body serum. First I apply body serum, then to lock the moisture, I apply body lotion. I personally like to use body lotion daily after showering when skin pores are open and ready to absorb moisture. This helps seal in moisture and keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day. Just like the body serum, the scent stays for about 5 hours without reapplying - very economical, isn’t it?

After using them for my skin routine, as you can see from the picture above, my skin looks healthier, well-hydrated, and less dull - although it doesn’t really make my skin brighter. However, the result for each person might vary due to skin concern. I often use them for my foot soles during the night and the morning after my soles feel soft and smoother. I would say this is my most favorite body care variant from Scarlett!
