How To Style Print On Print For Beginner
Wednesday, June 19, 2019
Although I always more into something classic and colorful, this summer I tried to lessen the color coordinate and point out some statements by wearing print on print instead. Just to show you how print on print actually can elevate basic casual look, here are some tips on how to style print on print during this summer season, it could be your favorite summer staple perhaps !
1. Choose Statement Top / Bottom
If you have watched SS19 and FW19 runway show, I am sure you certainly agree with me that asymmetrical top makes an ultimate comeback this time. Having one or two details on your print on print look will make your look a lot fancier, my suggestion - go with statement neckline. One thing that I adore the most about this printed crop top from PULL ME OUT is; it has sexy little detail on the neckline that combined with puffy sleeves, makes my casual outfit doesn't look really casual anymore.
2. Less Color, The Better
When it comes to print on print, it would be better ( more safe and versatile ) to use print that has less color rather than colorful ones. Go for white or black or any earth tone color as the main fabric color. It would be okay if there are some colors on it but at least they're less dominant.
3. Dominant-Less Dominant Is The Key
If you're typical of woman with classic style who rarely play with pattern, never combine bold prints with same/similar bold prints because it enhance volume of your body. Instead, pair bold print with less-dominant print ( tiny polkadot, tiny stripes, etc ) so it will balance the whole look. From this print on print look, I paired bold prints that comes from the shorts that I wore, with snake print bag from DRESSLILY which less dominant but makes a certain point to my look. The bow detail is just fit with my crop top anyway!
