I was not born and raised as an artist. Almost all of my family ( either from dad or mom ) have a huge interest in economic, so I don't know exactly since when art flew inside my blood and until now, all I like is about art or design. Hence, when I got chance to visit this well-known contemporary art gallery, I was beyond excited to see what's inside. This contemporary art gallery is located in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. The building has characteristic of Netherlands colonialism architecture but the interior inside has a mix between colonial and modern. Although the space is not really big, there are quite lot of contemporary arts displayed, all are the creations of Indonesian local artists, from 2 dimension to 3 dimension. As I know, the display will be changed every few months, especially if there's any special event, so visitors will always see the new vibe of the art gallery whenever they come back. Well, I think I should not write too long, so let's just take a deeper look into this art gallery :) 











Besides enjoying the beautiful arts, I also took some outfit pictures captured by my sister. From these pictures, you can see that I wore frilled off-shoulder floral prints top with baby blue A-line chambray skirt which is very comfortable and convenient because the materials could absorb sweat pretty well ( since the AC was turned off while I was there ). I personally like the cuff at the hem sleeves along with the hoop earrings, reminds me of fashion in the 70's !

    I didn't know Semarang has their own contemporary gallery! It looks so awesome.
    Anyway, they have the same leaning sculpture as the one in Jakarta's Galeri Nasional. It's cool to know that they're connected somehow. <3

    I love contemporary art. Beuys, Wols, Bacon are some of my favorites among lots of others. I am sure you spent an interesting day at the museum. If you ever get a chance of visiting an exhibition of one of the above's, I am sure you wont regret it. Esp Beuys and Wols are amzing, but I am sure you know that already. Love your OOTD, btw.
