[REVIEW] Laneige New Water Bank Series - Serum And Cream

Hyaluronic Acid may sound familiar to us, but Blue Hyaluronic Acid? Have you heard about it before?

Recently on March 2022, the well-known Korean brand, LANEIGE, has just launched the newest range of its best of the best series in Indonesia which is WATER BANK! All thanks to Jakarta Beauty Blogger who keeps me updated and gave me chance to try them! I am super curious to find out the innovation from this series and how it impacts my skin because I have tried some Water Bank series before (toner, essence, and cream) and I have no complaints with it. Surely I can't wait to share my experience to all of you because… it’s LANEIGE WATER BANK everyone! Shall we just straight to the deep thoughts and opinions then?

LANEIGE WATER BANK SERIES

What it is:

Newest series of Water Bank with its key ingredient, BLUE HYALURONIC ACID that comes as “Hydration Expert”, moisturises skin up to 100 hours until the 10th layer of skin. It’s the 7th generation of Hyaluronic Acid that is able to absorb into skin quicker (up to 6x faster) because of its smaller molecules than the common HA. It maintains moisture because it’s double-fermented with deep sea algae for amplified hydration benefits.

Variants:

Available for 2 skin types: normal to dry and normal to oily.

1. WATER BANK BLUE HYALURONIC SERUM

What it is:

A serum that intensely hydrates for a smooth, supple complexion. The main ingredients are Blue Hyaluronic Acid that instantly absorbs for deep, lasting hydration - while Peptide helps visibly firm, green tea helps to strengthen skin’s moisture barrier.

How to use:

Apply serum evenly after cleansing and toning. Can be used in the morning and night.

Packaging:

Two thumbs up for the super cool tube packaging, dominated with soft blue & beige color! To take out the serum, you just need to rotate the bottle and the hole will come up. The hole on the back will turns red if the product is almost finished, such an innovative idea isn’t it?

Texture:

Super lightweight gel texture with soft aromatic scent.

Review:

I really love the soft scent and how it absorbs into my skin very quickly! It gives a calming effect with a non-sticky feeling. It makes my skin feel smoother and hydrated right after applying it. I like to wear it at morning and at night before sleep. It makes my skin feel supple and healthier indeed!

2. WATER BANK BLUE HYALURONIC CREAM MOISTURIZER

What it is:

A cream that is visibly firm, strengthens skin’s moisture barrier, and delivers replenishing, long lasting hydration up to 100 hours. It’s hypoallergenic, dermatologist-tested, and suitable for sensitive skin with its main ingredients: Blue Hyaluronic Acid (to deliver effective, long lasting hydration), Squalane and Ceramide (to provide nourishing moisture).

How to use:

After serum, massage the cream evenly onto face. Can be used for morning and/or night.

Packaging:

Similar with the serum, this jar has a super cool innovation. You can just rotate 45 degree to open the top. The jar is securely covered and comes with a cute spatula. Unfortunately, the spatula is not attached with the jar so you have to keep it carefully so you won’t lose it.

Texture:

Creamy texture with an aromatic scent that is exactly the same as the serum.

Review:

Despite its creamy texture, this cream feels super light on my skin. It absorbs quickly into my skin but doesn’t leave a greasy feeling. It gives a soothing effect and makes my skin soft and plump! Compared to the previous version, this one is lighter indeed.

From the picture above, you can clearly see that my skin looks plump and hydrated. The glow will appear a few minutes after using the products. Don’t worry, it won’t make your skin feels greasy at all - but based on the effect on me, I highly recommend these products to normal to dry skin.
