I found it a little bit tricky to wear spring dress as wedding guest outfit because spring items are mostly  have soft silhouette, made from light material with less details, colorful, and usually in casual style. When I heard news that I should attend my cousin's engagement party, I felt like I need to wear something appealing (because it's her big day!). I know it's easy to just go to boutique to buy new dress, unfortunately I had not enough time to go to mall nor browsing through e-commerce website these days (thanks to tight deadlines and hectic schedule), so I decided to look through my wardrobe again and tried to find any item that probably suits for the party.

After digging into my wardrobe for several hours, I found this hidden gem that has been in here for approximately 2 years. This asymmetrical mini dress has interesting details on the pleats and ruffled bodice. Soft pink color made from crepe fabric makes this dress looks sweet as wedding/engagement outfit especially when it is paired with fuchsia blazer and tangerine mini tote bag to add cheerful hue to my outfit. However, my parents still not too pleased when I wear this outfit so I spiced it up with chunky gold chain necklace and earrings - now they approve!

Here's the thing : when you want to wear spring dress to occasional event, make sure to wear accessory because that is the strong aspect to level up whole outfit. You can also add layer to your dress like inner tulle or statement blazer for a dressy look.
