After my trip to Korea last week, I become more realize that Korean people does really really treat their skin very well, even during the bad weather – not only women but also men. Most of them have bright, glowing, healthy skin which sometimes makes me jealous because I don’t usually have that. However, recently I was introduced to this Garnier Light Complete Bright Up Tone Up Cream that claims it can instantly brighten up skin ( two times lighter ) and conceals blemishes – which will make our skin looks like Korean ! Curious ? Definitely ! That’s why once I back from Korea I tried this product immediately so that I can share with you guys how it works, so please keep reading :)

What it is :

Day cream from Garnier that brightens the face instantly and makes skin perfectly brighter everyday. This product is the latest innovation from Garnier Light Complete that is inspired by the latest Korean beauty trends. This Tone Up Cream enriched with 10x Vitamin C, Yogurt & UV Filters Extract.  It also claims that it could reduce dullness and uneven color, conceals stains, acne scars, dark circles, smoothen skin, protect from UV rays, and it’s not greasy when it applied on skin.

How to use :

PACKAGING :

Light, simple, basic, tiny plastic tube comes with paper box that safely sealed with plastic wrap. Instruction and description are written in both English and Bahasa Indonesia. Dominated with white, yellow colors just like other Garnier’s products.

TEXTURE :

Light, white creamy texture with pleasant fresh scent ( more like lemon or fruity scent ).

RESULT :

I am in love with this product since the very first time I applied it on my face. This cream does really brightens up my skin tone right after I applying it and I only need few amounts of it to cover all over my face. It has soft matte result, blends easily, and doesn’t feel greasy at all. From the picture above, you may feel that the texture looks thick but actually it is not. It feels so light and smoothen my skin as well. It has pleasant scent which is not too much for me and I love how it gives natural result to my skin, not too bright and fake. Although it doesn’t really cover my dark circle as it has claimed, it actually works quite good to cover redness on my nose area ( at that time, I didn’t have any acne or acne scar so I can’t really tell how it works for acne covering ). The staying power of this cream is also pretty nice because literally I wore it for more than 5 hours and it’s still on its place, I can’t see patch or any other break out which is really good. It probably because I also have dry skin so that my face doesn’t get oily easily.

PROS :

- Very simple, plain packaging

- Can’t cover dark circle perfectly

As conclusion, I really like to use this Garnier Light Complete Bright Up Tone Up Cream for my daily use, especially for office makeup because I can easily skip the use of CC cream and BB cream / foundation and just use this cream right away. I only need to put this cream, then sun cream, concealer, finishing powder, eyebrow pencil, tint balm - and I am ready to go ! However, I think it would be much nicer if this cream has more color shade at least one for cool tone skin and one for warm tone skin - since I noticed that this cream can only work well on people who has medium-fair skin for natural result, but for people who has tanned skin ( or warm skin tone ), it would look like a bit too bright and unnatural because somehow this cream makes our skin tone becomes less warm.
