Let us rest a while from the hype of matte lipstick and talk about lipstick that will moisturize your lips all day long instead. Well, Veiled Rouge is not the latest and the best seller product from Shiseido, but after testing this product several times, I think it's my responsibility to share it with you guys, especially for those who consider to buy this product, so please keep reading :)

What it is :
A long-wearing, hydrating lipstick with transfer resistant color that stays put for gorgeous looking lips all day long. Formulated with exclusive Transfer-Free Formula locks color, luster and moisture into place to prevent lipstick from transferring. It also contains Hydro-Wrap Vitalizing DE. 

According to Shiseido's website, they offer 8 shades :
RD302 - Rosalie, BE301 - Carrera, OR303 - Orangerie, PK304 - Skyglow, PK405 - Pomegranate, RD506 - Carnevale, RD707 - Mischief, RS308 - Sloe.









PACKAGING :
Elegant, slim black steel tube inside glossy paper box. It has no seal and I can't find the expired date as well.

TEXTURE :
Super soft and smooth with glossy, shimmering finish without any scent.

RESULT :
It glides smoothly on my lips and the coral pink color is so natural although I need to apply it several times to see the color. This lipstick is super moisturizing, I don't even need to apply lip balm before. It could stay for around 4 hours without drinking or eating then the color and shimmer effect will slowly faded but I can feel that my lips is still well-moisturized. I really like how smooth and soft this lipstick is but it also means that this lipstick is so fragile. First time I opened this lipstick, I was quite surprised because this lipstick was melted a little! However, the problem solved after storing it in the fridge for few hours.

PROS :
- Elegant packaging
- Easy to apply
- Super smooth
- Super moisturizing
- It has nice staying power

CONS :
- Sheer finish, not really pigmented
- I don't like the shimmer effect
- Quite fragile because it melts easily
- It doesn't have any seal
- Quite pricey

Overall, I like this lipstick but it will not become one of my favorite. It is just like a lipgloss or tint balm for me. I super like on how moisturized it is, but I dislike the shimmer effect ( feels like you've eaten oily foods but haven't wiped it yet, lol ). However, I will still recommend this to you guys who love shimmer, glossy lipstick because it has nice staying power compared to another glossy lipstick.

    This is a really good review, I think the lipstick looks great on you. Although just like you, I'm not a fan of shimmery lipsticks. I love that it's moisturising though xx
