Micellar water has become every beauty lover’s essential item as it can replace the use of oil / milk cleanser and toner which is very convenient and economic – so it’s a common situation if you saw many beauty bloggers write about micellar water review these days. Fyi, micellar water is an innovation of makeup remover which contains of micelles, tiny balls of cleansing oil molecules that intend to cleanse dirt and oil without drying out the skin. So probably that’s the reason why there are many beauty brands release their version of micellar water, as well as L’oreal Paris. As the skin care expert, L’oreal Paris launches two variants of micellar water which claims that it doesn’t only cleanse but also maintain skin’s natural moisture, plus it is also suitable for sensitive skin because it’s alcohol + fragrance free. Well, I just can’t wait to share with you guys my experience using this micellar water, so let’s just begin the review !

What it is :
Micellar water enriched with 95% pure water which suits for any skin type because of its alcohol-free, fragrance-free extract that comes with two variants :
- Rose water extract ( PINK ) to moisturize skin : for normal – dry skin
- Fresh mountain water ( BLUE ) to refresh skin : for normal – oily skin

PACKAGING :
Transparent yet sturdy plastic bottle securely sealed with plastic seal on the tube. Tube hole size is quite decent so we can take sufficient amount of the micellar water without worrying it will drip too much.

TEXTURE :
Watery texture which is very light and has no scent at all. For the pink one, it has slight oil sense.

RESULT :
As you can see from the pictures above, I swatch eyebrow pencil, waterproof eyeliner, waterproof mascara, liquid eyeshadow, matte lip cream, and foundation then I tried to cleanse them with both Blue and Pink micellar water. First swab, liquid eyeshadow can be removed easily while the rest is still there, but then after swabbing several times ( 4-5 times ), all makeup are completely gone. Both variants cleanse dirt perfectly but I can really tell the difference between using the Blue and Pink. Blue ( Refreshing ) leaves slight cool sensation and oil completely reduced without drying my skin, while Pink ( Moisturizing ) leaves my skin fully hydrated and soothed. As I said before that I can sense slight oil in this Pink micellar water but actually it doesn’t leave oil excess on my skin after cleansing like, no at all. It absorbs quickly and hyrdating skin very well. This Pink one probably the easiest way for me to skip makeup remover and just directly use this micellar water before start applying serum and moisturizer to lock the hydration.

PROS :
Comes in two variants : for normal to dry and normal to oily skin
- Sturdy packaging and securely sealed
- Fragrance-free
- Alcohol-free
- Refreshing and moisturizing
- It doesn’t leave sticky feeling at all

CONS :
Need to swab several times until all makeup are totally gone.

Overall, I really like this innovation of micellar water from L’oreal Paris since it has two variants and both work so well on my face. However, if I have to pick my favorite, it would be the Pink ( Moisturizing ) one because literally I have dry skin so I really like the soothed, hydrated sensation after cleansing with this micellar water. The gentle formula can completely removes my makeup, even the waterproof one. Fyi, you can find this L’oreal Micellar Water everywhere ( department stores, drugstores, and also E-commerce website ), pretty convenient right ? So, would you like to try this micellar water ? Or have you tried this one before ? If you want to know more about this product, you can check this here.
