My OOTD Kids Project

This time I'm not going to write about outfit or make up review, it's about my artwork. As you guys know, I love drawing especially fashion drawing and this artwork represent for the love of kids fashion. To describe more clearly, I'll write in points, hope you enjoy!

1. History of the character

Actually, I made this character for my final project book in college. At that time, I really want to make a fashion book, but it's too common for a final project, so I did a research about fashion book and found out that less people published kids fashion book! Also, we knew already that kids fashion is also develop that fast these times so I chose to create a character which show various kind of kids fashion, then gathered them in a kids fashion book.

2. Name Inspiration

My OOTD Kids; means My Outfit of the Day Kids which describe kids' daily outfit (boys and girls), such as sporty, casual, girly, manly, glam look.

3. Character Inspiration

I was inspired by so many things when it comes to draw, from people around me and by googling, hahaha. But, for more specific, actually I was so inspired by Fifi Lapin, the famous bunny with stylish outfit. She's so adorable and I love her so much!

4. Coloring style

I used water colour and acrylic colour for this character and also I usually use bright colours since it's kids fashion, I want to bring the colourful things of kids fashion ( and also pastel colours are really my style ).

5. Book

I have relesead first series of My OOTD Kids book, it is My OOTD Kids : Toddlers. Yeah, although it's only for final project but I am too excited to make another series of this book, because of some courage and positive comments from my family & friends.

6. Merchandise

I also make some merchandises for My OOTD Kids character, such as paper dolls, doll cushion, broches, phone accesory, bookmark








My OOTD Kids's first exhibition was held in August, 2015 at Adiwarna event, Grand City Mall Surabaya and hope My OOTD Kids will hold another exhibition next time!
