Contouring palette is still on trend since a year ago. Yeah, there are so many beauty brands launched their version of contouring palette, as well as Etude House. This Face Designing Contouring Palette was launched not so long time ago and already caught many attentions from beauty lovers, thus I decided to give it a try and share my thought about this product, I hope you enjoy !

What it is :
The multi-contouring palette expresses more natural contoured face with 3 kinds of color shade.

How to use :
STEP 1 : Apply shade on the outer area of the face, hairline, and sunken area on the front of the eyes.
STEP 2 : Apply shade on skin under the cheekbones, chin line, and sides of the nose and blend to remove the boundaries formed by dark color.
STEP 3 : Brighten the forehead, nose bridge, skin under the eyes, and chin to provide a contouring effect.

It comes in 2 shades :
#1 Gold Brown ( for yellow tone skin ) and #2 Pink Brown ( for pink tone skin )

Dark Choco ( Contour ), Warm Vanilla ( Bronzer ), Champagne Gold ( Highlighter )

PACKAGING :
Light-weighted yet sturdy contouring palette made from plastic, compared to another contouring palette, this palette is quite thin anyway. It comes with paper box and full screen mirror inside the palette. We can also find how-to illustration and instruction which written in both Korean and English.

TEXTURE :
It has soft, powdery texture. The colors are not really pigmented and have no scent at all.

RESULT :
As you can see from pictures above, this palette gives decent dimension to my face, especially on the eyes and nose area. It looks natural on my yellow undertone skin and there is no fall-out when I applied it. Frankly, I don't really follow the steps as I usually put highlighter before contour and I like to apply highlighter on upper cheeks and cupid bow as well ( that's why I also put my version of contouring on the picture above, lol ). Dark Choco and Champagne Gold work well on my face but I can't really see the color of Warm Vanilla, It's more like compact powder for me. For the staying power, it's just so-so. The colors start to fade after 3 hours.

PROS :
- Light-weighted yet sturdy packaging
- Natural result
- Decent colors
- Easy to apply
- Affordable price ( around $18 )

CONS :
- Not pigmented
- Can't really see the result of Warm Vanilla on my face

Overall, I like this product as my daily makeup essential as it looks so natural on my face. I also like how Etude House categorized this contouring palette into 2 types : warm tone and cool tone. It really helps people to find which one is best for their skin. I think this contouring palette will be a good choice for beginners because it's very easy to apply and the colors are not bulky - but for those who is looking for perfect-dramatic-pigmented contouring palette, I will not recommend this for you.

  4. I love that the colors are so light! I'm very pale and it can be difficult to find contouring shades that aren't super obvious

I like to go for a bit more darker and tan contouring especially for the summer.

  14. Great review, Chelshes. I think I pass on this one, the best contouring palette imho is the light to medium one by Anastasia Beverly Hills. I am very fair, as you know and I use her contour palette right from the beginning and I am still pleased with it. Happy new week, girl.
